Overall purpose of the role
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Activations Coordinator is to establish, grow and manage the Cape Town promotions team.To lead, inspire, set direction and drive the team to provide excellent promotions and manage the delivery of exceptional campaigns that meets or exceed the clients and businesses targets as well as exceeding target income for the agency.This includes the overall coordination of promotions, launches and events within the region.

To ensure clear understanding of the clients strategic and operational requirements and communicate this to the team
Through close relationship with clients, continuously develop the strategic direction of each client account and ensure communication of any directional changes to the team
Deliver high standards of client satisfaction, measuring this through feedback, response to campaigns and continuously adapting and adjusting approaches to benefit client needs
To maximize the opportunity to benefit from access to the range of services that are available within the agency, including creative, strategic planning, production etc, building the strength of the business relationship through delivery of value added services to the benefit of the client
To actively pursue business development opportunities with the client accounts, selling additional services whenever possible
- To share knowledge and best practice across the teams and the agency.
- Identify areas of growth on existing business.
- Oversee briefing of partner agencies and the implementation needs for each promotion
- Work with internal and external teams to ensure that activations are implemented faithfully
Assisting in growing (recruitment), maintaining and managing our promoter data base
Accurately fulfilling client briefs and expectations
- Where necessary attending client status meetings and briefing sessions
- Ensuring exceptional execution of all activations within the region
All promoter communications
Project management of all activations, promotions and events
Ensuring that any problems are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
Confirming promotions, training dates and collation of the following:
- Training documents
- Stock coordination, inventory and allocation
.You will work with the JHB Activations Manager in order to :
Assist in growing (recruitment), maintaining and managing our promoter data base.
All promoter communication.
Project manage all promotions including;
- Taking photos
- Feedback report
- Ensuring that any problems are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
Confirm promotions, training dates and collate the following:
- Training documents
- Product allocation per region/shopping centre/store
- Train promoters on the confirmed date/place.
- Assist in the production of comprehensive reports regarding market competitors, sales performance and non-performance.
You will work with the JHB Activations Manager to assist in:
Sourcing suppliers and negotiating best prices.
Ensuring that a minimum of three quotes are sought for all items purchased and that where possible items are sourced at below the budgeted rate to manage costs.
Ensure the delivery of all elements procured are successfully completed before the specified time.
Keep and file accurate documentation (quotations, invoices etc).
Ensure all deadlines are met.
Have accurate time management methodology and can plan, priorities, organize and control every aspect of the project, i.e. ability to create and meet to-do lists and plan your day.
Marketing degree (beneficial)
Previous experience in a similar agency or role
Divers License and Own Vehicle
Good business sense
