VIZEUM USES THEIR INFLUENCE TO DO GOOD
In partnership with their client Spur, Vizeum managed to negotiate media space worth R3.2m to assist the Organ Donor Foundation in bringing awareness to the importance of organ donation.
As in many parts of the world, organ donation faces certain stigmas that hinder a process that can save countless lives. But the fact of the matter is a single donor can save up to 7 lives. The Organ Donation Foundation’s main goal is to educate the public about the process and drive people to sign up, relying on the media to encourage their cause.
Having noticed the ODF’s cause and struggle, Vizeum decided to help out. Using their influence with media owners, they managed to convince 12 media houses to donate space to the ODF worth an incredible R3.2 million to help raise awareness about the cause. The Foundation then visited our offices both in JHB and CPT to give a presentation and help the rest of DAN understand the process. The awareness was so successful that we had the majority of the network signing up to save 7 lives each, an outcome that goes far beyond what we could have ever hoped for.
