Reinventing the Billboard
As part of the launch of adidas’ latest sneaker, theZX Flux, Posterscope were briefed to develop a solution to demonstrate the shoes in an innovative way. We needed to generate large scale talkability and word-of-mouth (especially through social media) around the launch , but with a limited budget.
In order to create something standout that would also tell the story of the ZX Flux for the media launch, we created a responsive digital media wall in the venue. Infra-red sensors enabled the rear-projected screens to transition between the ZX Flux colourways in response to the presence of individual passers by.
The main campaign took this execution to the next level; giving consumers in Gauteng something they’d never seen before. By day, billboards appeared simple, with a vague outline of the ZXFlux shoe. By night, we used custom built projection installations to transform the static billboards into live transitions of the colourways through innovative, bespoke projection mapping onto the static billboard creative.
Using this innovative tech, we transformed mundane OOH into something that told the story of the adidas ZX Flux in a completely unique way.
